While there's Tylenol, Advil, and a host of other drugs to reduce high temperatures, unfortunately there isn't a single drug to relieve the most annoying fever of all...baby fever. I should tell my chemist husband to get on that. There are probably fortunes to be made. But I digress.
Mike and I always wanted a large family. Before Carina was born, when I would joyfully tell people that we hoped for 3 or 4 children I would usually be met with wide eyes and a snide, "just wait..."
Well, here we are 2 kids later and we're still hoping for more. Maybe 1, 2, or dare I say 3? I'm fully aware that to most people, 5 kids is crazy talk. But somehow as our family grows that number is looking more and more appealing to me. And Mike? He's up for as many as I want. He has always joked that he'd like to field a soccer team.
As much as I'd like to go for #3 as soon as my body is ready, we need to wait until I'm feeling better, we're in a larger place, and are more secure financially. Hopefully, that will come when Mike finishes his Post Doc here which could be anywhere from 1-2 years from now.
So the fact that I have the fever already is a bit of a problem. I feel like I should will one of the girls to have a giant blowout or inconsolable tantrum in an attempt to combat it. Wish me luck...
