Critters & Crayons - Toddle Along Tuesday

Our house, like yours - I would suspect? - is full of toys. We find them everywhere...in the bathtub, refrigerator (what?!), dresser drawers, and so on. There is no surface, article of furniture, nook, or cranny, that has not seen an errant ball or lost letter magnet. Two of the worst offenders are also Carina's absolute favorite toys. I've wrote about both of them on other occasions, but they are truly her most treasured so let's sing their praises once again.

Calico Critters

These little buggers make for hours upon hours of play time. Her favorite things to do are put them all to bed "shhhh! SLEEPING", throw them down the stairs in the little house (not kidding), and put the babies in the closet. Not sure about that last one...I guess if Aurelia ever goes missing we'll know where to find her?

The best part? The enormous collection that we have was purchased {by me} back when I was in college so there was no hit to the budget involved (these things are pricey!) I've only been giving her a few at a time and still have a ton stashed away. I'd like to high-five my nerdy college self for investing in little flocked animals instead of expensive booze.

Jumbo Crayons

These crayons have lasted us for 6+ months now and they are all still intact and not a single one has gone missing. NO idea how this is possible. Much better than I expected for only $6.

Despite the fact that she loves to color on everything (walls, her new table & chairs from IKEA, the back of my computer, etc.), I really like these crayons. She has used them to learn most of the colors of the rainbow and has a grand old time playing with them.
