Pardon my frankness, but teething sucks. It turns your otherwise adorable little baby into a fussing, screaming mess. She might refuse to eat. He might cry constantly and commit the very worst offense against already tired parents - not sleep. And it's possible you won't even know why all this is happening until you see that tiny sliver of white breaking through their gum line. We were fortunate in that Carina started teething quite late, but sadly that fact hasn't spared us from the usual horrors of teeth eruption. And once the molars started coming in? Oh man. That's all I got.

It cracks me up when she puts it in her mouth and tries to run away with it (below right) - which she does often. Fortunately, there is a safety clasp so it's not possible for her to snatch it off of my neck.
