The first time that Carina came toddling out into the living room with the delicates bag full of dirty socks (that we hang on her hamper), I took it from her and brought it back into the nursery. "No Carina," I told her, "we don't play with dirty socks."
A few minutes later she emerged again with socks in tow. Since it was pretty clear there was no stopping her, I let her be. While they wouldn't be my plaything of choice for her, they certainly can't do any harm. I was not prepared for what happened next.
Who doesn't want to roll around in dirty socks and throw them all about the room?
