Well, then a few things happened. First, I went about six days without feeling so much as a single tap from deuce, and it made me really nervous. What if something had happened? The thought of losing this baby resulted in my crying myself to sleep one night.
And then almost as if on cue, I felt him/her the next morning. He hasn't let up since. I think he (why do I keep thinking he?) wanted me to know that he's okay.
That it is all going to be okay.
Then I received my diaper cake, which I am
Lastly, Carina has had some really funny personality quirks emerge in the last few weeks. She cracks me up all.the.time. Watching her personality develop has been one of the most special and rewarding experiences of my life. And soon? I'll get to experience that all over again with a completely different person.
What will this baby be like? Will he/she have a hilarious sense of humor like she does? (e.g. will she giggle and shout "poo poo!" when M breaks heinous wind?) Will he look like M? Will he be type-A like me?
I don't know. But what I do know? I can't wait to find out.

I told you you'd come around. :-) and now that my second is here, I can tell you its a lot of work some days but it's totally worth it!
This post makes me happy. :) I'm so excited for you, and can't wait to find out if that little deuce really is a "he!"
I'm so excited for you! I am with you, I've always thought this baby is a boy!
Well hopefully you say 'he' because it's a boy. Although, I said 'he' until we knew it was a girl.
And I'm glad to hear your feeling more excited. We aren't even thinking about number two and I worry about it just because I didn't have the easiest pregnancy after 26 weeks.
I'm dying to find out if duece is a he or a she. I seriously think I may be (almost) as excited as you guys!! :)
How fun! I have thoroughly loved getting to know my 4-month old's personality and I can't wait to see what other shenanigans she'll get into. You're gonna be a great mama of two!
This is such a sweet post! I struggled with feeling excited about this baby too - until this week's ultrasound when I started seeing her/him moving around! Haven't felt her/him yet, though - when did you start feeling baby?
Yea!!!
It is hard to devote as much thinking toward the new baby when you have another to take care of and you are totally exhausted.
I imagine it must be a lot of mixed emotions with a baby #2 on the way. I'm glad to hear things are turning around for you :)
Eeee! Such a sweet entry! :)
Thanks, everyone.
@Samantha - I started feeling baby around 14 weeks. Much earlier this time!
It was really hard for me to get excited for my second, and when I did I also felt guilty about it. Then, after she was born, things were hard as well. I would say after the 6 week mark though the sun shined through and we are all (mostly) happy here, and my feelings of guilt/second guessing myself/pittying baby 2 are gone. You are giving your children a sibling, one of the greatest gifts ever!
