Steppin' Out Saturday - Happy Birthday M!

It's been a few weeks since I've participated in Steppin' Out Saturday. Truth be told there hasn't been much steppin' out lately, unless you count the grocery store {and I'm guessing you probably don't}. M is busy with his thesis, and I've been feeling a bit under the weather.

So we went out for M's 28th birthday to one of my favorite Madison restaurants. This was the first time we had dinner at a restaurant other than Panera with Carina in tow {and she's 9 months old now, is that pathetic?} I was a bit nervous, not knowing whether she would have a meltdown, throw some baby food across the dining room, and/or shoot poop out of the high chair. Fortunately, nothing of the sort happened. She was so good and everyone around us couldn't stop telling us how adorable she was.

We went casual since 1.) the restaurant is pretty casual and 2.) I knew we'd end up wearing a lovely dusting of pureed sweet potatoes before the night was over.

Our dessert - a truffle, chocolate chip cookie dough egg roll, vanilla custard, and Butterfinger wontons. YUM.

I still haven't bought any new clothes since before I was pregnant. ::sigh:: In all honesty I'm afraid to go shopping, and I really don't know why. More on my post-pregnancy self-esteem {or lack there-of} later in the week.
