1. My OB is fantastic. Seriously, I couldn't have found a better doctor. I asked him a whole slew of questions today about labor and every answer he gave was the answer I was hoping for, including:
-No IVs or monitors unless medically necessary
-No internals until 40 weeks unless I want them or there is a reason
-He will let me go to 42 weeks before inducing if I so choose
-He is completely supportive of having a birth plan and using natural methods (i.e. Bradley or Hypnobirthing)
-In addition to seeing pregnant women, he also takes care of babies! So he will be Carina's doctor until we move next fall. I'm so glad that we don't have to worry about interviewing pediatricians.
2. I got my first free gift card from Swagbucks.com this morning! I signed up on Thursday afternoon, and already had more than enough to order a $5 Amazon.com gift card today. I think I've spent about 5 minutes a day at their website, that's it. Thanks again to Caroline who told me about it!

I signed up for swagbucks yesterday because of your post the other night! Love it. Can't wait to be able to get my gift card!
glad you like your doctor! hopefully all goes as planned and you have a great experience the rest of your pregnant days and through delivery!
do you do things other than searches to get swagbucks?
congrats on the swag! I am up to 5 gift cards already. It's insane. Now if only they didn't take weeks upon weeks to actually GIVE them to you...
Your doctor sounds awesome. I need to have a serious talk with mine because he's super laid back (which is good) but I feel like i'm blundering through things completely uninformed and 3rd tri makes giving birth sound scary-soon. I have no idea how to find a pedi, or how long he lets you go without induction, or what his c-section rate is, or whether i should do a birth plan, and what i would even write in it.
I feel like a failure of a pregnant lady...
Sounds like a great OB! Do you have a birth plan yet? Have you decided about going natural?
@Heather - if you do their daily poll and view their no-obligation offers, you get 2 SW (for each). Most of my SW have been from referrals :)
@Catherine - Mike and I are just starting our birth plan, but it isn't going to be too involved. The gist is we want the least amount of interventions possible, and only if they are medically necessary. I am toying with the idea of hypnobirthing...more to come on that later.
if you decide to not have an epidural - you are a stronger woman than i ever could be!
