I was upstairs folding laundry earlier, and I M yells up, "hey, do you get a temp spike the day after you ovulate?" I just thought it was really cute. Every day he seems more and more interested in my cycle and how everything works.
When I got some fertile cervical fluid today (yay!) I asked him if he wanted to see it. At first he was really apprehensive, but I think he was intrigued. It was kind of like when the woman on 3rd Tri posted a link to a pic of her mucus plug, you know you shouldn't look, but you can't help it (by the way it just looked like some big ol' boogers, no big deal). So he looked, gave me an "ewww" face, but then said, "wait, this means we have to have a lot of sex, right?" When I answered "yes", his "ewww" face changed into a rather large smile.
When we took our Pre-Cana classes with the Catholic Church before our wedding, they described NFP (Natural Family Planning) to us, and I thought it was one of the grossest things I had ever heard. I said to M that there was NO WAY I would ever measure the consistency of my cervical fluid to determine how fertile I was. It's funny how almost two years later, here we are, doing just that, and not minding it at all.
